Culinary Arts

The Academy of Culinary Arts allows you to investigate the many exciting career options within the food service industry. You will learn and practice the fundamental skills involved in the selection, preparation, and service of meats, poultry, seafood, fruits, vegetables, soups, sauces, desserts, and bakery items. Your preparation skills will be honed daily as you practice in a fully-equipped commercial kitchen. Students successfully completing the program will earn college credit and a nationally-recognized industry certificate issued by the National Restaurant Association.

Culinary and Hospitality Specialties

The Culinary and Hospitality Specialties Program is an occupational, technical and career exploration program that consists of training, experiences and activities. It is designed to enhance skills to not only prepare students for employment positions within the food industry, but also for entrance into post-secondary programs.

Specific job objectives relative to current industry standards with intensive skill training contributes to the development of a well-rounded student who will demonstrate good citizenship, critical thinking and problem solving skills. A career path driven by a plan of action will demonstrate personal and professional goals.
